Training Schedule
Nail Technology
Module I: 1-200 hours
Learn the basics in manicuring and pedicuring. Begin understanding the importance of sanitation and organization. Theory lesson will be on the chapter of the week as well as Personal development theory, nails structure theory, massage theory and gel polish theory. The hands on during the first 4 weeks is strictly to memorized procedures and should only be performed on a fellow student. Toward the end of the 1st module you will begin seeing demos on your State board test.
Module II: 201-400 Hours
Attend numerous demonstrations on acrylics including colored acrylic and design. Review demos from module 1. Continue perfecting technique with on manicure, pedicure and gel polish application. Understand the importance of customer service and well as sanitation and organization. Begin testing for 3 finger and full set evaluations
Module III: 401-600 Hours
At this level you should have been released to the floor for all services including, manicure, pedicure, gel polish, acrylic fullset (pink and whites and colored acrylic), fill and back fills. Doing acrylic services will allow you to experience the e-file and how to be safe with it as well as when to use it. Manicure and pedicure service on the public with be replaced with more acrylic services. Begin finishing completions and preparing for school board and state board.
Aestetician to Nail Technician
This program is modified to meet the students scheduled training hours. Completion requirements are adjusted to meet graduation requirements, however test scores and practical evaluations are the same.
Number of weeks varies. Consideration is taken for Aesthetician’s work schedule in the salon.
Cosmetologist Nail Training
This program is modified to meet the students scheduled training hours. Completion requirements are adjusted to meet graduation requirements, however test scores and practical evaluations are the same.
Number of weeks varies. Consideration is taken for Cosmetologist work schedule in the salon.
